Call for Instructors

Interested in sharing your artistic knowledge?

Bartow Art Guild is seeking instructors to lead workshops, multi-session classes, and lectures at our newly renovated Art Center. We are currently seeking instructors for adult classes in 2023-24. Sessions may be held during the day or in the evening, depending on classroom availability.

Bartow Art Guild will:

  • Market the monthly workshop schedule via website, social media, and newsletters (we do expect the instructor to self-market)

  • Provide an online portal for students to register and pay for your workshop

  • Communicate your requirements (i.e. materials needed, if any) to prospective students

  • Provide work tables and seating for up to 8 students

  • Add a nominal fee to your workshop charge to cover overhead expenses

  • Handle any cancellations or other changes

  • Pay you via check at the conclusion of your class

In return, we expect instructors to:

  • Teach an artistic technique, skill, or project that is well within your knowledge base.

  • Treat the Art Center with care, clean up after your class, and leave the center in “ready” condition for the next event

  • Complete a W2 prior to payment.

  • Properly dispose of paint or other materials.

  • Treat all students fairly and with dignity
